Fees for services are customary rates based on factors such as comparable, regional psychotherapy fees and level of expertise/specialization:
Initial Evaluation/Diagnostic Assessment (90 minutes plus administration/interpretation of standardized assessments and consultation with any current treatment providers/relevant professionals): $300
Individual Psychotherapy (50 minutes): $160
This practice is primarily fee-for-service. The practice is a member of only one insurance panel, the Cleveland Clinic Employee Health Plan (Dr. Doane is a Tier 1 Provider). The practice does not submit claims to insurance companies on your behalf unless you are a member of the CCF employee heath insurance plan. For each session, you will be provided with an invoice for services with all of the information necessary that you can submit to your insurance provider on your own, utilizing any out-of-network benefits that may be available to you. Please contact your insurance company for information on whether your plan has out-of-network benefits, and how you can go about submitting the necessary paperwork for reimbursement. However, to be clear, you are expected to pay the fee in full at each session.
All fees beyond those listed above are prorated in 5-minute increments for services of lesser or greater time (e.g., initial exposure therapy sessions are typically longer than 50 minutes; brief check-in appointments may be much shorter).
Clinicians’ full rate, prorated in five-minute increments, will be charged for:
Any additional fees (for example, those associated with community-based exposure exercises for you and your psychologist) will also be your responsibility, and will be discussed in advance.
Cancellations and Late Charges. You are required to provide 24-hours notice for cancellation, or as soon as possible in cases of an emergency. No-shows and cancellations without 24-hours notice are subject to the full session fee, except in the case of an actual emergency. If late, you will have less time together with your therapist and will still be billed for the entire session. Chronic lateness and missed appointments will interfere with your success in therapy and may be addressed with your psychologist. Please note that Dr. Lisa Stines Doane, LLC requires a credit card on file in order to confirm initial evaluation appointments in our system. A non–refundable cancellation fee of $100 will be charged unless you contact our office to either cancel or reschedule your initial evaluation with a minimum of 72–hours notice.
Phone Calls/ Phone Sessions other than initial phone contact and subsequent brief contacts (i.e., less than 5 minutes) will incur charges prorated in 5-minute increments at the typical hourly rate for psychotherapy.
Payments will be collected at each session and may be made by check, money order, cash, or credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express), including HSA/FSA cards. Any returned checks, returned credit card charges (“charge-back”), or late payments may be subject to a $35 fee. Dr. Lisa Stines Doane, LLC reserves the right to use collection sources to seek payments due in cases where remaining balances are unpaid.
Please note that this practice is not designed to provide ongoing crisis management for issues such as psychosis, ongoing violence, or active suicidality. Please discuss these issues with your psychologist if at any time you believe you need a higher level of care for these types of issues and we will assist you in locating an appropriate referral. ALWAYS call 911 and/or report to the nearest emergency room for immediate care during a psychiatric emergency.
